[For Will and Bert]
You arrive outside the address for Tia in the early evening. It's just starting to get dark. The building is situated in a reasonably quiet area, with a small park across the street from it, and appears to be a large apartment block, made of red brick, with a large front door, and a number of buzzers next to the door. You can see light glowing out from behind the windows to the apartments, some of which have the curtains drawn, and some of which don't.

Luckily for you [seriously, I used a luck roll to see if you could find one - 1d100=13 ] there is a small hotel across the street from her apartment, with a decent view of her window. It's a small, independent hotel, 3* standard. A middle aged man, with dark brown hair greying at the temples, and the beginning of a belly, is staffing the desk when you enter the hotel. "Hi there gentlemen, my name is Kevin Jones and I'm the owner and manager of the Mayflower Hotel, what can I do you for?"

(do we have to specifically ask for the room?) if so make some shit excuse that its cause i need the sun in the morning or i dont need it [depending which way it faces N,E,S,W ect]) 'hello there good sir (apparently im an old american cia spy in Russia with an English demeanour) I would like a room for four days (excuse goes here),i have a family wedding, you wouldn't happen to know where i can get a decent camera around these parts. once in the room i will go to wherever he pointed me to or the nearest pawn(or porn shop ding dong.) shop. and buy a big ass camera and lens. and also parts for a home made silencer to stop any powder deposits from an execution style close range killing . A 3 litre bottle of 'soda' and some wool.

[Sorry for the lateness posting - I've been swamped with work, and the link to the forum hasn't been working for me for like a week and a bit!!] I'm assuming this is the day after you check into the hotel.
Will:
All of those items are easily available, except for the 3 litre bottle of soda (because the giant tesco near me only has up to 2l, I'm going to assume you can't easily find 3l): you can have a 1L and a 2L though. Otherwise camera, wool, lens I'll allow. The camera is a little old, and battered but seems to work fine. I assume you'll be paying in cash?
How are you planning to make the silencer? Bear in mind, I do know the answers to this.
Bert:
There are fire escapes around the back of the building, with pull-down ladders. As far as you can see the ladders are retracted at the moment.
There doesn't seem to be a porter on duty, but from what you can see people do need to be buzzed into the building by someone inside.
The nearest grocery store and pharmacist are in one sort of large 7-11 store round the corner. (What are you looking for?)
At around 11, as you "look for Mr Sparkles", a little old lady, who apparently lives inside the building, and is about 5'2, with white hair, comes out:
"Hello there young man, is there something I can help you with? I saw you searching around outside from my window, it looked like you'd lost something? I don't recognise you from the building...."

well, firstly the bottle needs a secondary tube to go inside the 3l bottle which are everywhere in USA...
and simple all a silencer is is 2 tubes one smaller than the other (inside) with steel wool in between and ram as much duct tape around it as i can..., the hard part is stopping the powder burns from a close range shot which is hard to prevent... for that i will have a lunchbox filled with newspapers and a hole in the side facing me...
